Dr. Erika Castonguay graduated with Honours Biology from the University of Western in 2006. She then enrolled and completed four demanding years getting her Doctorate of Chiropractic with Clinic Honours at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2010. She has been practicing for 13 years treating patients of all ages. She cares and takes the extra time to help patients reach their optimal health. She incorporates many different techniques styles, manual manipulations, acupuncture, Graston and other soft tissue therapies and laser.
She is a registered member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and is an active member in the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Ontario Chiropractic Association. Dr Castonguay holds a certificate in Medical Acupuncture as well is Websters certified. She specializes in working with prenatal care and post pregnancy care.
Dr. Chan is a Canadian National Board certified chiropractor born and raised in the Ottawa region. He graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with an Honors Degree in Kinesiology. Following his four years at McMaster, he went on to study another four years at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He is a registered member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and is an active member in the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Ontario Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Chan provides diversified chiropractic treatments with the overall goal of alleviating stress, pain and discomfort, allowing the body to heal and function properly. As an integrative treatment, soft tissue release work and rehabilitation exercises are prescribed to prevent reoccurrence of injury. In addition to chiropractic, Dr. Chan holds a certificate in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. The goals of medical acupuncture are to provide clinical improvement in your condition or your symptoms through the activation of the body's natural pain control and healing mechanisms. Through ongoing medical research, acupuncture has been shown to be beneficial in treating many conditions and disorders including, but not limited to, headaches, acute/chronic pain, tendonitis, and arthritis. Dr. Chan believes in an approach to care that not only includes treatment, but also focuses on patient education. He encourages his patients to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
Mariam graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2012 with a degree in Human Kinetics, further pursued her passion for helping others by becoming an RMT. In 2015 she graduated from Algonquin College with an advanced diploma from the Massage Therapy Intensive program. Mariam’s philosophy of practice is to centre each client’s care around them as an individual in order to help them maximize their experience. It is important for them to feel comfortable, enabling them to reap the benefits of care.
Her experiences include the treatment of headaches, chronic pain, general discomfort and injuries, as well as working with athletes, seniors and developmentally challenged children. With her exceptional listening skills and focus on client centered care, treatment planning and execution are all mastered. She is committed to continuously learning and growing in this profession.
Mariam encourages an active, healthy lifestyle. She enjoys cooking, travelling, staying active at the gym.
